  • 2025/12/01: Årets julkalender har börjat visas! 2026-01-13: Unfortunately, now only available in Sweden.
  • 2025-11-11: The travel company Skandinavien Direkt from Greifswald is looking for Guides [de] with good English language skills, as well as, if possible language skills in Scandinavian languages.
  • You can watch the new film version of “Ronja the Robber's Daughter” here: in German on ARD [de] (also in original and with German subtitles); on SVTPlay it is only available in Sweden.
  • 2025/04/08: svtplay has a series of documentaries, Återvändarna [sv], about US-Americans of Sámi origin, many original interviews are in English with Swedish subtitles.

Scholarships

SWEA [sv] ger stipendier, bl.a. Litteraturstipendiet för doktorander i svenska språket, litteraturen och/eller kulturen.

For all German Studies students among you: Arnold Heidsieck scholarships [de] are available for one semester or one year.

You can also study Scandinavian Studies at some American universities, e.g. University of Minnesota (Minneapolis), U of Michigan (Ann Arbor), U of Wisconsin (Madison), U of Washington (Seattle) or Harvard (Cambridge, Massachusetts), and here is the list for Canada.
